Plataforma de Afectados por la Hipoteca (PAH) is a citizen Platform formed by people who can not afford their mortgages and are in risk of being evicted and excluded from the society for the rest of their lives because of their debt with banks. Our global aim is to fight for the housing right in Spain and to achieve a second opportunity for those who got a mortgage and can not afford it because of the economic crisis. Our most known campaign is “stop evictions”. We have avoid at least 500 evictions of families by confronting our bodies in front of the families houses the day that they are going to be evicted. We also occupy banks, to point them out as one of the most responsible actors in our crisis as well as the housing bubble in Spain.
